TISSA begins manufacturing sophisticated technical fabrics in Oberkulm AG, Switzerland. The roots go back to the times of emerging industrialisation, when the water power originally used by grain mills was gradually used for other purposes.
Company Split
The company is split into two operating sister companies: TISSA ImCut AG concentrates on the finishing and making-up of technical fabrics. TISSA Glasweberei AG focuses on the production of customer-specific special fabrics (glass, carbon, aramid, basalt, polyester, polypropylene, Dyneema, Zylon).
Management Buy-Out: Succession Secured
In 2025, the company's succession was sustainably secured through a management buy-out, with the executive board acquiring the holding shares to ensure the continuity and owner-managed future of this long-standing enterprise.
